L. Dæhnfeldt A/S, an established global vegetable company owned by Emergent Genetics, Inc. has changed its name to Emergent Genetics Vegetable A/S. Owned by Emergent Genetics for the past six years L. Dæhnfeldt A/S was integrated into the Emergent Genetics structure in August 2003 to further develop global strategic focus.

"This is an important step in providing business support and direction to our vegetable enterprise, while at the same time keeping the external focus on success in key vegetable species like spinach, cauliflower and cucumber", says Matt Renkoski, VP International Business.

All breeding, production and sales of Dæhnfeldt, Ohlsens Enke and Hurst seeds brands will continue as present with Emergent Genetics Vegetable A/S strengthening their market position through Emergent Genetics, Inc. relationships. The future goal of achieving priority status within selected products and global markets, by means of a more focused research, will also continue. Sales and marketing will be further intensified to strengthen our partnership with our customers around the world.
